Opening in August 2011 with initial classes of 7th and 8th grades, the Indiana Aerospace Junior/Senior High School will be the second of its kind in the country. The other is the Aviation High School in Des Moines, WA.
Meet IAHS' Partner...
The Challenger Learning Center, located in MDS Decatur Township, offers space science simulation for young people in grades 5 and older, as well as adult leadership training groups. Indiana Aerospace students will participate in its Mission to Mars and other relevant simulations.
Both the Challenger Learning Center and the Indiana Aerospace Junior/Senior High School will share in the mission of developing in students the skills they will need for the 21st century.

At IAHS, students will earn a Core 40 academic honors diploma with opportunities to take dual credit courses. Dual credit courses are college courses that apply to both college and high school requirements.
Students will be able to explore and specialize in such areas as pilot, air traffic controller, aviation administration, aviation mechanics, logistics, aerospace engineering, safety and security, and healthcare. More
